The death of a loved one can be a challenging time for us all.  The attorneys at Aiken, St. Louis & Siljeg are here to serve you during this time and to assist you with all aspects of estate administration in the most reasonably, efficient and economical manner allowed by law.

There are many estate administration or probate options based on the size of the deceased person’s estate and whether the deceased person owned real property.   Like in many states, Washington State has a simplified probate process for small estates where there is no real property. It also has a simplified adjudication process that can be used in some situations.  It is our job to help you decide which is the best options for the estate at issue.  If the deceased left real property outside of this state, you will likely need to probate in the state where that real property is located.  This is often referred to as an ancillary probate. We can assist you with an ancillary probate here in Washington, or help determine the requirements for ancillary probate in another state.

If you have any questions about probating an estate and the probate process, it would be our pleasure to serve you.  Will you please reach out to us with your questions at 206.624.2650.  We look forward to the opportunity to guide you through process.
